Danlette Yato Injured, David Zarb Accused in Amboy Fatal DUI Crash
Amboy, WA (June 15, 2021) – On Monday, 66-year-old Danlette Yato of Yacolt was injured, and police accused 46-year-old David Zarb, of La Center in a fatal DUI crash on Highway 503.
The devastating crash took place at 1:28 p.m. near Fargher Lake.
Officers said Zarb drove his northbound Ford pickup across the center line of the highway and struck a southbound Mazda.
Unfortunately, a 16-year-old female passenger from Napavine died at the scene.
On the other hand, a 15-year-old driver and two other passengers, all from Yacolt, were injured in the accident.
Moreover, officers believe Zarb was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
Officers said Yato, a 15-year-old passenger were injured in the accident. They were both riding the Mazda during the crash.
Immediately, rescuers took Zarb, Yato and the two 15-year-olds to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of injuries.
Meanwhile, Zarb was accused of vehicular homicide and three counts of vehicular assault after a crash
