WSP Investigates Crash on Highway 28 and South Lyle Avenue in Wenatchee

Wenatchee, WA (October 20, 2022) – Wednesday morning, police arrested 28-year-old Danielle Renae Reyes when she allegedly crashed into an unmarked and occupied police car on Highway 28 and South Lyle Avenue.

Reportedly, the Columbia River Drug Task Force was on the lookout for Reyes after she fled previous traffic stops in both Wenatchee and East Wenatchee.

The incident happened when the multi-agency task force closed in on Reyes, and she allegedly threw her car into reverse and slammed into the front of a pursuing police vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result.

EMS transported the deputy whose behind the wheel to Central Washington Hospital for minor injuries.

Reyes currently faces a possible charge of second-degree assault, in addition to earlier counts of eluding, resisting arrest, and DUI.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
