Deadly Pedestrian Accident

Moreover, when a person lost their life due to another person’s negligence, the bereaved can sue the negligent parties for the damages that they caused.

Some of the instances that could result in a wrongful death are homicide, transportation accidents, and pedestrian collisions.

Similarly, it could be any other instance caused by the wrongdoing of another person.

Meanwhile, in filing for a wrongful death case, there is a time limit on when family members can take legal action.

These restrictions are called the statute of limitations. Unfortunately, it only allows the bereaved to file a wrongful death lawsuit within a certain amount of time.

Therefore, when these expire, the legal claim is no longer valid. The family of the deceased can no longer file a lawsuit.

Thus, it is important to know and understand these time limitations. They vary from state to state and case to case.
