Officers Search for Suspect in Collision Near Tidewater Bike Path
Manteca, CA (October 27, 2022) – On Saturday, Daniel Yanez, 31 of Manteca, sustained fatal injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Northgate Drive.
The fatal incident happened at about 7:20 p.m. near Tidewater Bike Path.
Reports say Daniel Yanez was on foot the when the pickup truck struck him. The driver fled the scene just before the police arrived.
Moreover, the authorities believed he was involved in an earlier minor collision while riding his motorcycle near North Union Road. That said collision involved an unidentified van.
Investigators stated the two traffic incidents don’t appear to be related at this point, though, they still want to speak with the party involved.
