Camry Driver Killed in HWY 68 Head-On Collision
Salinas, CA (August 15, 2022) – On Saturday, at 6:10 p.m., the authorities arrested Daniel Wetle, 40, of Marina, in a fatal DUI collision on Highway 68 near Spreckels Boulevard.
According to the investigating officers, a black 2022 BMW 330i driven by Wetle crossed the two-way left turn lane and drove into the oncoming traffic. As a result, the vehicle collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota Camry.
Sadly, the Camry driver died on the crash scene.
Moreover, Daniel Wetle incurred minor injuries. The authorities arrested him for DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
