FRESNO, CA (March 16, 2021) – Sunday night, Daniel Ventura, 35, died in a rollover crash near Fowler Avenue and Elkhorn Avenue.
 
The incident occurred just after 11:30 a.m. near Fowler Avenue and Elkhorn Avenue, outside of Laton.
 
According to CHP officers, a Chevy SUV went down an embankment and rammed into an orchard. As a result, the driver and all the passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
 
Thus, several agencies came to the scene to aid the victims.
 
Upon their arrival, they found one person dead at the scene. Meanwhile, three others suffered major injuries.
 
According to investigations, they’re searching for a fifth person who may have been the driver.
 
“At this time, we don’t know who the driver is due to the amount of injuries and the parties not being seat belted in the vehicle and ejected. And we don’t know if we have a driver who fled the scene,” stated CHP Sgt. John Tyler.
 
Responders airlifted one victim to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. Meanwhile, an ambulance transported two others to the hospital.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identities of the victim.
 
Also, the officers confirmed that they spotted alcohol inside the car.
