Daniel Sanders Killed in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Highway 20 [Whidbey Island, WA]

Whidbey Island, WA (April 4, 2023) – On Sunday, 23-year-old Daniel Sanders, an Oak Harbor man, sustained fatal injuries in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 20.

WSP stated that 21-year-old Andrew Murray was driving southbound on the freeway near San de Fuca with two passengers. His vehicle suddenly left the road, struck a power pole, and rolled multiple times into a field.

Murray and one of his passengers sustained injuries and were transported to Whidbey Health for treatment.

However, Murray’s second passenger, Daniel Sanders, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

WSP said they are still investigating the cause of the fatal collision near San de Fuca.
