55-Year-Old Selma Man Fatally Struck by Train at Golden State Boulevard and Nebraska Avenue
SELMA, CA (January 4, 2020) – A man died after being struck by a train Saturday afternoon in Selma, police said.
The fatal incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Golden State Boulevard at Nebraska Avenue.
According to Selma police, the man was walking on the tracks with his earbuds on and never heard the train coming up behind him during the time of the collision.
The man, identified as 55-year-old Daniel Picazo of Selma, died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
