Two Killed, Vehicle Splits in Half in Bakersfield Accident on Ming Avenue

 
Bakersfield, CA (February 19, 2021) – On Wednesday, Daniel Encinas Davalos and Destiny Munoz were killed and another two were injured in a pole crash on Ming Avenue.
 
Officers responded to the fatal accident scene at around 10:25 p.m. at the 500 block area.
 
Apparently, the driver was driving eastbound on Ming Avenue.
 
For reasons still unknown, the vehicle drifted to the right and struck a wood utility pole.
 
Afterward, the vehicle struck another fixed object, and then it split in half.
 
Unfortunately, a man, Daniel, was ejected from the car. The authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Also, a woman inside the severally damaged vehicle, Ms. Munoz, was pronounced dead.
 
Furthermore, two other men inside the vehicle sustained major injuries. Rescuers took them to the hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the officers are investigating if whether alcohol/drugs were a factor in this accident.
 
A memorial was held on Thursday by the accident site to remember the two deceased.
