Man Fatally Injured in Solo-Vehicle Collision near Williams Ranch
BUELLTON, CA (August 27, 2018) – A man was killed Monday evening in a rollover crash on Highway 246. The victim was only identified as Dan Davis.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 7:30 PM, just east of Williams Ranch.
51-year-old Sheri Ann Craig of Port Hueneme was driving a Honda Civic eastbound at about 60 mph in the fast lane. For unknown reasons, she allowed the vehicle to drift into the center median, where the vehicle lost control and rolled over multiple times. It came to rest on its wheels, facing northeast in the westbound slow lane of the highway.
Davis, a passenger in the right front seat, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Craig suffered minor injuries and complained of pain, while another passenger, 50-year-old George Martinez of Oxnard, suffered a head laceration and complained of pain to his chest and legs. They were transported to local hospitals for treatment and evaluation. There is no update on their current medical conditions.
