41-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after Collision with Vehicle near 17th Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 14, 2019) – Authorities identified 41-year-old Damon Hill as the motorcyclist killed in a crash near 17th Street.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident happened on Union Avenue, at about 10:30 AM. In the surveillance video, a Dodge Avenger made a U-Turn into the path of Hill’s motorcycle.
The impact of the crash ejected Hill off his motorcycle, causing major injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital, where he died the next morning. Hill’s family and friends set up a GoFundMe page for funeral costs. Click on the link to donate and to support the campaign.
Authorities continue to work on determining the cause of the fatal collision. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
