23-Year-Old Hospitalized after Fatal Accident near Mayhew Road in Corona
CORONA, CA (May 12, 2020) – Early Saturday morning, 23-year-old Damian Perez died in a rollover crash near Mayhew Road.
The police revealed that the solo-vehicle rollover crash occurred in the unincorporated Glen Ivy area of Riverside County.
Riverside County Fire Department said that authorities received a report of the fatal crash at 4:30 a.m., near Mayhew Road and Temescal Canyon Road. When they arrived at the scene, they declared Damian Gomez Perez of Corona dead at the scene.
California Highway Patrol also confirmed that there was one survivor in the collision. Responders took them to an area hospital to receive treatment for a laceration to the head and a broken right arm.
Meanwhile, witnesses revealed that the vehicle went off the northbound lanes of 15 Freeway near the Indian Truck Trail exit. The vehicle then overturned and fell near Mayhew Road and Temescal Canyon Road.
Corona firefighters responded to the scene and worked with the Riverside County crews to free the survivor from the wreckage.
