Damages Reported after Car Crashes into Kennewick Convenience Store
KENNEWICK, WA (March 19, 2019) – A car crash was reported at a Kennewick convenience store at around 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.
According to the reports, the Cadillac went over the concrete parking stop and through the brick wall and front window of the Minit-Mart at the Shell gas station at 27th Avenue and Olympia Street.
The impact of the crash scattered and crushed the shelves of merchandise. The vehicle ended up alongside the cold drinks case.
According to the Kennewick police, the driver pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake by mistake.
Police said that the store near Yoke’s Fresh Market would reopen as soon as a structural evaluation confirmed it is safe for people to be in the infrastructure.
Safety should be a motorist’s primary concern whenever a person is driving on the road. Strictly adhere to traffic laws including speed limits. Use your mirrors and signals before changing lanes. Follow other vehicles at a proper distance and be ready to brake at a moment’s notice.
