2 Cars Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash on 80 Freeway
RICHMOND, CA (June 27, 2019) – Authorities investigated the amount of damage sustained in a hit-and-run crash on westbound 80 Freeway Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near the Mcbryde Avenue off-ramp. It happened at approximately 5:04 PM. Based on an initial report, two unidentified vehicles became involved in the crash. After that, two black female adults ran away from one of the cars.
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. However, they did not report any injuries.
No. 3, 4, and 5 lanes closed while clearing operations took place in the area.
An investigation is currently ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are also working to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect. Additional information has yet to be released. More information will eventually be given once available.
