Hit-and-Run Motorist Involved in Collision near Capitola Road
SANTA CRUZ, CA (December 10, 2018) – Damages were sustained in hit-and-run crash on 17th Avenue, Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:49 PM, near the intersection of Capitola Road. Based on their report, there were at least three vehicles at the scene. The manner of the collision was not yet known. The specific detail released was about a blonde white female adult, about 18 to 20 years of age, who was seen leaving the scene right after the incident.
The paramedics were requested to attend to the other involved motorists at the scene. Fortunately, no injury was reported by the responding medical team, but fire officials reported a damage in the median sign metal pole. A Volvo sedan also acquired front-end damage prompting the authorities to call for towing services.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident to help identify the possible contributing factors. The authorities are also working to identify and locate the hit-and-run motorist. Additional information has yet to be released.
