Late Afternoon Collision on 280 Freeway in Daly City Leaves One Injured
DALY CITY, CA (March 11, 2019) – One person was injured following a two-car crash late Monday afternoon in Daly City.
The crash happened around 5:28 p.m. on southbound 280 Freeway at John Daly Boulevard off-ramp. The vehicles involved were initially described as a black Chevrolet Camaro and a Buick sedan.
While the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, the impact injured one party. The extent of injuries sustained was not immediately known but an ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene to give aid.
One of cars sustained front-end damage and was towed away for evidence.
Fire crews partly blocked the off-ramp from southbound 280 Freeway while they worked on the scene.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
When entering and exiting a freeway, make sure to proceed with caution. Those areas tend to be congested from people merging into traffic. Slow down, look out for cars, and only merge when it is safe to do so.
