Interstate 82 Crash Kills Dallas Wyatt, Injures Woman
Sunnyside, WA (August 12, 2021) – On Wednesday, 83-year-old Dallas Wyatt, an Outlook resident, died, while a 65-year-old woman suffered injuries in Interstate 82 vehicle crash.
It was about 9:10 a.m. when the semi-truck crash happened near milepost 69.
Officers said Wyatt was eastbound on the freeway.
At the same time, a big rig traveling the same direction was in the left lane, passing Wyatt’s vehicle.
Wyatt crossed into the left lane and was hit by the big rig.
Officers pronounced Dallas dead at the scene.
A 65-year-old passenger in the big rig suffered injuries. Rescuers took her to a hospital.
Investigating authorities said Dallas was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Moreover, officers are currently investigating the cause of this accident. Also, it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.
