57-Year-Old Colorado Springs Man Fatally Injured after Crashing Pickup Truck into 2 Homes near Centennial Boulevard
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 8, 2018) – One man was fatally injured after crashing his pickup truck into two residential homes on Silent Rain Road, early Friday afternoon. He was later identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office as 57-year-old Dallas Huscher of Colorado Springs.
The collision took place on the 2200 block of Silent Rain, near Centennial Boulevard, just before 1:00 PM. Colorado Springs Police officials stated that Huscher was driving in a green Ford pickup westbound on Silent Rain Rd, when his truck traveled over the north curb and into two nearby homes.
The impact of the collision was said to have caused structural damages to both homes. It was later discovered that Huscher had suffered a medical event and died from causes not related to the car accident. He appeared that he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in the collision.
No one else was hurt, and it is unclear if there were any people inside of the homes when the incident happened. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
