Officers Arrest Jeffrey Neal in Hawthorne Fatal Crash
Mineral County, CA (June 18, 2022) – On June 6, Dale Galantuomini, 66, of Yerington, died while officers arrested Jeffrey Neal, 37, of MO, in a DUI crash on Highway 95.
The fatal incident took place at about 2:40 a.m. in Hawthorne.
According to the investigators, Neal was driving a northbound gray 2009 Ford Taurus north on the freeway. However, he failed to stay in his lane as he drove around a curve.
Neal’s vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and struck the front of a white 2004 Honda Civic driven Galantuomini.
Sadly, Dale Galantuomini lost his life at the scene.
Reports say Neal was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened. The paramedics airlifted him via Care Flight to a hospital for treatment.
Then on Friday, June 10, the authorities arrested Jeffrey Neal and booked him into the Mineral County Jail for DUI causing death, driving on the right side of the road required, and other unrelated charges.
