Customer Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Kennewick Walmart [Kennewick, WA]

Kennewick, WA (October 06, 2021) – On Saturday, a customer suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Kennewick Walmart.

The accident took place at about 7:39 p.m.

Officers said a Walmart customer was walking out of the grocery side exit when a car hit them in the crosswalk.

As a result, the pedestrian incurred head injuries. Rescuers took the victim to Trios Hospital. 

The authorities did not provide an update on the victim’s condition and the extent of the injuries.

Meanwhile, the suspect driver attempted to flee on foot. However, three to four bystanders followed and were caught by citizens.

The KPD took over as they arrived at the crash scene.

They booked the driver into Benton County jail for a felony hit and run.
