Crystaline Bendo Dies in Head-on Collision on North Riverside Avenue [Rialto, CA]

Rialto, CA (October 7, 2022) On Thursday morning Crystaline Joy Barile Bendo and Melissa Jacqueline Castillo died in a head-on collision on North Riverside Avenue.

Reports say that the fatal 2-vehicle crash happened at around 3 a.m. in the 3500 block of North Riverside Avenue near Ashford Avenue.

Rialto Police Department say that 22-year-old Castillo was trying to pass an 18-wheeler instead collided head-on with 31-year-old Bendo’s northbound vehicle.

Furthermore, Castillo, a San Bernardino resident, crossed the double yellow lines in the center of the roadway effectively going the wrong way.

Additionally, authorities pronounced Castillo dead at the scene, while Palmdale resident Bendo, died at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center at 4:16 a.m.
