CARMICHAEL, CA (March 4, 2018) – A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Fair Oaks Boulevard near Bob Lane, on early Sunday morning around 12:13 AM.
The 26-year-old female victim was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Crystal Shrum of Carmichael. Shrum had been celebrating her 26th birthday with her cousin and their boyfriends at the Players Club Sports Pub and Grill on Sunrise Boulevard.
Officer Amy Walker stated that the victim was found face down in the middle of the wet road. Shrum was reportedly walking home after an argument took place at the venue they were in.
