1 Person Dies After Crop-Dusters Collision near Whiteface in Lubbock

Lubbock, TX (June 14, 2024) – On Friday morning, one person died, and one other sustained injuries in a crop-dusters collision near Whiteface.

According to Sheriff Jorge De la Cruz, the planes were spraying a cotton field when the accident occurred. One person sustained moderate injuries in the crash. 

The accident was reported to have occurred approximately 4 miles west of Whiteface.

Emergency responders from Morton FD, Whiteface FD, Texas DPS, and Cochran County EMS arrived at the scene. 

Sheriff De la Cruz stated that the FAA was contacted and responded to the crash. The NTSB was also contacted and will continue investigating the incident.

No further information has been released at this time.
