Motorcyclist Cristian Valencia Dies, Passenger Injured Following Santa Rosa Avenue Crash
Santa Rosa, CA (August 21, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash on Santa Rosa left 22-year-old Cristian Valencia dead and one female hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon.
Moreover, officers responded at the incident on August 19 on Santa Rosa Avenue, north of Yolanda Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
The investigation showed that the man was driving a motorcycle going north on Santa Rosa Avenue. The motorcycle collided with an SUV seconds after pulling out of a driveway on the east side of the road, heading south.
The motorcyclist, now identified as Mr. Valencia, died.
Meanwhile, the female passenger in the motorcycle sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Authorities said she is expected to survive.
Furthermore, the driver and the passenger of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police believed that neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the crash.
