26-Year-Old Palmdale Man Identified as Motorcyclist Killed in Collision near 80th Street East
LITTLEROCK, CA (April 18, 2019) – Authorities identified 26-year-old Cristian Pelayo of Palmdale as the man killed in a motorcycle crash on Pearblossom Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near 80th Street East, at about 5:50 AM. Pelayo was traveling at a high rate of speed when his motorcycle rear-ended a slower-moving vehicle.
Emergency responders attempted to resuscitate the injured rider. Unfortunately, Pelayo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities believe that alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the fatal collision. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the CHP at (661) 948-8541. Further details will be released to the public following the conclusion of the investigation.
