1 Person Dead in Bakersfield Auto Accident on East Belle Terrace and Madison Street

BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 5, 2023) – Monday morning, authorities arrested Cristian Escobar-Rodriguez after a fatal rollover collision on East Belle Terrace and Madison Street.

The incident happened at around 1:58 a.m. on East Belle Terrace at Madison Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an eastbound Dodge Charger failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the roadway. Then, the vehicle came to rest after colliding with a dirt beam along a canal. It rolled over in a grass and dirt field.

Moreover, responders pronounced a 30-year-old female passenger of the vehicle dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver and two other passengers to Kern Medical with moderate to major injuries.

Furthermore, authorities believed that alcohol played a major role in the crash.
