2 Hurt in Phoenix Auto Accident on State Route 51 near Glendale Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (May 12, 2023) – Thursday morning, a crippling wrong-way crash on State Route 51 near Glendale Avenue leaves two troopers injured.
The incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on State Route 51 near Glendale Avenue.
According to reports, a DPS patrol vehicle intentionally crashed into a southbound vehicle traveling in the northbound lanes to stop it.
Moreover, officials confirmed that two DPS troopers and the wrong-way driver, an 82-year-old woman, sustained injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the incident.
