Injuries Reported in Laredo Auto Accident near Loop 20 and Clark Boulevard
LAREDO, TX (May 21, 2024) – Monday morning, a crippling UISD school bus crash near Loop 20 and Clark Boulevard injured 2 people.
The incident involving a UISD school bus and an SUV occurred at about 7:30 a.m. near Loop 20 and Clark Boulevard.
According to reports, the school bus was exiting the loop. Then, an SUV in front of the bus made a sudden stop.
As a result, the bus failed to make a complete stop in time and hit the SUV.
UISD officials confirmed that the bus carried 45 students to Gonzalez Middle School.
Following the incident, one student and the driver of the SUV were transported to LMC for medical evaluation. The remaining students were taken to school on the same bus with a different driver.
In accordance with UISD protocol, the bus driver is undergoing drug and alcohol testing. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
