SANTA MARGARITA, CA (June 12, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a crippling two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Tassajara Creek Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 8:50 a.m. on Highway 101 near Tassajara Creek Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2017 Honda Civic struck an eastbound 2011 Toyota Camry for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders transported the 83-year-old female driver of the Camry to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Also, the 47-year-old male driver of the Civic sustained minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
