1 Airlifted in Baker Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15 near Kelbaker Road

BAKER, CA (April 16, 2023) – Friday night, 1 person sustained critical injuries after a crippling two-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 near Kelbaker Road.

The incident happened at around 8:26 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15 about 7 miles after the Kelbaker Road exit.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV rear-ended a semi-tractor-trailer for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the SUV to roll over.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated two occupants of the SUV who were trapped inside the wreckage. Then, Mercy Air #24 airlifted one person to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment. Also, paramedics transported one more person to a hospital via ground ambulance with unknown injuries.
