1 Person Hurt in San Antonio Traffic Accident on South Callaghan Road near Highway 151

SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 6, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a crippling truck crash on South Callaghan Road near Highway 151 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on South Callaghan Road near Highway 151.

According to the San Antonio Police, a northbound SUV collided with an 18-wheeler that was attempting to make a U-turn near the Amazon plant. Then, the force of the crash dragged the SUV down the roadway.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated the SUV driver who was trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the driver to a hospital with a broken femur. Also, the big rig driver was not hurt in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed one lane of South Callaghan Road but has long since reopened.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
