Injuries Reported in Maricopa County Auto Accident on State Route 87 at Milepost 205

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (October 27, 2024) – Early Friday morning, a crippling rollover crash on State Route 87 at Milepost 205 injured 3 people.

The incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of State Route 87 and Milepost 205 in Fort McDowell.

According to troopers at the scene, a speeding truck with three occupants overturned across the median, landing in the northbound lanes. DPS reported that two adults and a five-year-old girl were ejected from the truck. All three were taken to the hospital, with the adults sustaining life-threatening injuries. 

Meanwhile, the young girl was not seriously injured and is expected to recover. Northbound lanes of SR 87 near Bush Highway were closed for the investigation and reopened around 7:30 a.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
