Injuries Reported in Harvard Heights Auto Accident on Venice Boulevard and Western Avenue
HARVARD HEIGHTS, CA (June 9, 2024) – Early Thursday, a crippling pursuit crash on Venice Boulevard and Western Avenue injured 1 person.
The crash happened at 12:32 a.m. on Western Avenue and Venice Boulevard in Harvard Heights.
During a police pursuit in Los Angeles, LAPD officers collided with an innocent motorist at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Western Avenue. The patrol car, heading eastbound on Venice Boulevard, crashed into a vehicle traveling northbound on Western Avenue. The impact caused the LAPD patrol car to crash onto the sidewalk next to a building.
The innocent motorist was transported to the hospital with injuries, but there was no immediate information regarding the condition or transportation of the officers involved. A witness reported that the LAPD officer did not have her red and blue lights activated when running the red light, which led to the collision. The LAPD has yet to confirm this detail.
