1 Person Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Zoo Drive and Balboa Park
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 7, 2023) – Wednesday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on Zoo Drive and Balboa Park injured one person.
The incident happened at around 6:06 p.m. at 3000 Zoo Drive in Balboa Park.
According to Officer John Buttle of the San Diego Police, a northbound 2008 Toyota Corolla struck a skateboarder who did not see the vehicle.
As a result, responders rushed the skateboarder, a 39-year-old man, to a hospital with a broken right arm and broken left and right legs.
Moreover, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the SDPD Traffic Division continued to investigate the crash.
