1 Person Hurt in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Willow Street near 710 Freeway
LONG BEACH, CA (July 16, 2024) – Monday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on Willow Street near 710 Freeway injured one person.
Reports said that the incident happened around 12:42 a.m. on Willow Street, east of Long Beach 710 Freeway.
According to Long Beach police Lt Royce Wexler, a westbound vehicle struck a male pedestrian who entered the roadway from the north curb. Then, the force of the crash trapped the pedestrian under the vehicle.
Moreover, the Long Beach Fire Department extricated and transported the victim to a local hospital with injuries to his upper body.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Long Beach Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
