TYLER, TX (November 2, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on Towne Park Drive near South Loop 323 injured 2 people.

The incident happened in the parking lot of Hall Collision Center on Towne Park Drive near Loop 323.

Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer Andy Erbaugh revealed that the person was in the parking lot of Hall Collision Center on Towne Park Drive near Loop 323 when the incident happened.

Then, the driver veered off the roadway and struck a curb, a sign, and a parked car before hitting the person and finally crashing with a building.

After the crash, responders took the victim and driver to a Tyler hospital.

Erbaugh added that the victim is in “serious condition.”

Tyler police, fire, and EMS came to the scene and shut down a large area. Tyler drivers encouraged drivers to avoid the area as first responders worked at the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
