HARRIS COUNTY, TX (September 25, 2023) – Sunday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on State Highway 249 and Veterans Memorial Drive injured one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 1:58 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 249 and Veterans Memorial Drive.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a van struck a male pedestrian, who was possibly a homeless person and crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders transported the victim to a hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, the van’s driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
