1 Hurt in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Highway 50 and 16th Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 17, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on Highway 50 and 16th Street injured 1 person.
The crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at about 5:15 a.m. on westbound Highway 50 and 16th Street.
A westbound driver in a white Lexus struck a pedestrian in the #2 lane. It’s unknown why the pedestrian was on the highway, and their identity remains unreleased, currently listed as John Doe by the California Highway Patrol.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, and the CHP confirmed that the driver was not under the influence.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
