LUBBOCK, TX (January 11, 2023) – Wednesday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on Avenue P and South Loop 289 injured one person.

Reports revealed that the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. on Avenue P and South Loop 289.

According to the Lubbock Police, a vehicle struck a pedestrian, and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders transported the pedestrian to a hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed all southbound lanes of South Loop 289 but has long since reopened.
