1 Person Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 500 University Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 4, 2024) – Sunday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on 500 University Avenue injured one person.
The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. in the area of 500 University Avenue.
According to the San Diego Police Department, a Jeep Wrangler struck a female pedestrian who was in the westbound Number 2 lane of University Avenue for still unknown reasons. Then, the vehicle stopped with the victim still under the vehicle.
Moreover, San Diego Fire-Rescue crews extricated and transported the 66-year-old woman to a nearby hospital with a left hip fracture, brain bleed, and hemorrhagic shock.
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
