Injuries Reported in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 1100 University Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 15, 2024) – Wednesday, a crippling pedestrian crash on 1100 University Avenue injured 1 person.
The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of University Avenue on a Hillcrest thoroughfare.
According to reports, a vehicle hit the pedestrian which left the victim with severe injuries.
Then, responders transported the victim to nearby Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, SDPD public affairs Officer Scott Lockwood revealed.
Meanwhile, police closed the eastbound lanes of the street between 10th Avenue and Vermont Street to let investigators document the scene of the accident.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
