3 Injured in Fresno County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Academy Avenue near Sanger

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (February 29, 2024) – Wednesday night, a crippling multi-vehicle crash on Academy Avenue near Sanger injured 3 people.

The incident happened at about 5:25 p.m. as a Toyota traveled southbound down Academy Avenue near Sanger.

As they approached a four-way stop, the driver failed to yield and went through the intersection. Then, the driver hit a Kia that had the right of way. Afterward, the Toyota continued into the northbound lane and struck a GMS that was stopped.

Reports confirmed that all involved vehicles had solo occupants. The two drivers sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver suffered major injuries which required hospitalization.

Also, the authorities are still trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
