Injuries Reported in Bellingham Motorcycle Accident on N Lake Samish Drive
BELLINGHAM, WA (July 30, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a crippling motorcycle crash on N Lake Samish Drive injured 1 person.
The incident happened at around 2:20 p.m. on N Lake Samish Drive and southbound Interstate 5 on-ramp.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2013 Triumph Daytona motorcycle traveling northbound on N Lake Samish Drive collided with the passenger side of a 2019 Subaru Forester, which was making a left turn southbound.
The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Bellingham, was taken by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center. The driver of the Subaru, a 28-year-old woman from Langley, BC, was not injured.
It is unclear if the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet or if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
