1 Person Hurt in Amarillo Motorcycle Accident on FM 2186 and Helium Road

AMARILLO, TX (June 21, 2023) – Monday night, a crippling motorcycle crash on FM 2186 and Helium Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on FM 2186 and Helium Road.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, an eastbound car and a southbound motorcycle almost crashed head-on. Then, the car swerved to avoid collision with the motorcycle and crashed into a sign while the motorcyclist was ejected into the roadway.

Moreover, responders transported the motorcyclist to a hospital with an injured leg.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
