SAN DIEGO, CA (June 25, 2023) – Friday night, a crippling motorcycle crash on Federal Boulevard near Winnett Street injured 1 person.
The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Federal Boulevard near Winnett Street.
According to authorities, the 37-year-old driver was traveling west in a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Then, he executed a U-turn directly into the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, riding a 2014 Triumph Daytona, was positioned behind the car at the time.
Emergency crews arrived to find the rider unconscious. The motorcyclist was immediately transported to a hospital, suffering from a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures.
Based on preliminary investigations, the driver was not suspected of being impaired by drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.
