Injuries Reported in Oxnard Auto Accident on Victoria Avenue and S Fifth Street
OXNARD, CA (June 17, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a crippling car crash on Victoria Avenue and S Fifth Street injured 3 people.
The incident happened at about 3:32 p.m. on Victoria Avenue, south of Fifth Street.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, a black Lexus driven by a 79-year-old Port Hueneme resident attempted an illegal turn, resulting in a collision with a Ford F-150 truck. The elderly driver sustained critical injuries, while the Ford’s occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to St. John’s Hospital.
In the Lexus, two additional passengers, including a 19-month-old child, are in stable condition. Investigators have ruled out speed and impairment as factors in the crash.
