Injuries Reported in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Panama Lane and Akers Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 8, 2023) – Sunday night, a crippling car crash on Panama Lane and Akers Road injured 2 people.
The incident occurred at about 10:21 p.m. on Panama Lane and Akers Road.
According to investigators, one of the drivers was driving west on Panama Lane. Then, he failed to yield at a red light and struck the other driver that was driving north on Akers Road.
Then, the westbound car on Panama Lane struck a brick wall at the northwest corner of the intersection and was moderately injured.
Moreover, the man driving north on Akers sustained major injuries.
Responders transported both parties to the hospital. Also, the authorities suspect that speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
