SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX (August 15, 2023) – On Sunday, a crippling boat crash on South Padre Island injured one person.

The incident happened on South Padre Island.

According to Game Warden officials, a charter fishing boat made a sharp turn at a high rate of speed and ejected a passenger overboard. Then, the skeg of the boat hit the passenger on the leg, causing a severe cut on the leg.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.
