1 Person Hurt in Santa Barbara Bicycle Accident on State Street and Mission Street

SANTA BARBARA, CA (May 22, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a crippling bicycle crash on State Street and Mission Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 1:42 p.m. at the intersection of State Street and Mission Street.

According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, a vehicle collided with a bicyclist for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, AMR Paramedics rushed the bicyclist to the Cottage Hospital Emergency Room with serious injuries.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

Meanwhile, the crash closed the intersection for several hours but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Santa Barbara Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
