CHULA VISTA, CA (August 6, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a crippling traffic crash on 1600 Wueste Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 12:27 p.m. in the 1600 block of Wueste Road.

According to the Chula Vista Police, an unidentified vehicle struck a bicyclist for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the 71-year-old male bicyclist to a hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, U.S. Border Patrol officers arrested the female driver of the vehicle for unrelated charges.

Also, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
